SURVIVING THE TRIALS OF CHOOSING THE RIGHT COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY

Finding the appropriate college or university has been a very tough decision for you, as a graduating senior student. You should be careful of the decision you should make because your future is the one at risk for the decision you will make. As for my case, I graduated high school dreaming to be a famous scientist someday but then, because of my assessment of myself, I ended up dreaming to be a successful computing personality someday like Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Bill Gates, by taking up BS Computer Engineering as my course in College. But how did I choose the appropriate college for me? I first took different entrance exams to my desired colleges and universities, Then, when the results came, I weighed my knowledge, skills and capabilities. For my case during that situation, I am deciding to enter either University of Santo Tomas (Courses: BS Applied Physics major in Instrumentation or BS Business Administration) and Treston International College (With full scholarship-BS Computer Engineering). The next step I did is that I researched for the future career that I might take. For my case once again as an example, If I will pursue a BS Applied Physics course in the University of Santo Tomas, I can work for a pharmaceutical corporation or be a professor at a university or college; or be a successful businessman if I take BS Business Administration. On the other hand, I will be able to work at Apple Inc./Machintosh as a Computer Engineer if I pursue a BS Computer Engineering course in Treston International College since Apple Inc./Machintosh is one of the affiliations of Treston International College, and based from my researches, there are a lot of job opportunities that I might take if I am a Computer Engineer which led me to the conclusion of taking the said course in Treston International College. Other factors you must also consider in choosing the right college or university for you is the school's affiliations, security, transportation, facilities, nearby dormitories (if you want to enter a university or college away from your province/primary area) and etc.  So, to the senior students out there, I wish you good luck in your endeavors in choosing your desired college or university. Entering college is like opening a new chapter in our life. Make the most out of it, be a responsible and wise decision maker in choosing your desired college or university..
